Homemade Facials and Masques with Honey

When you think of beauty tips, do you think of the sweet stuff? I know for sure that I love a great chocolate facial. And then there are the sugar scrubs, the spice wraps and the vanilla steams.

Nevertheless, all that stuff is pretty expensive.
My last vacation spa visit was well over 150 dollars and I didn't even get a full massage. But, there are a ton of different ways to give yourself some of these sweet treatments. There are many homemade beauty tricks, but the basis for these awesome homemade facials and masques? Of course it's honey.

Here are just a few home-uses for honey to make homemade facials and masks for everyday skin care that will have you feeling absolutely luscious in no time:

1.  Homemade Honey Recipe for Soft Skin - Bubbles are great. Just adding a cup of honey to your bubble bath will leave your skin soft and smooth. Exfoliate with a loofah while you’re in there for extra creamy, glowing skin. Add 4 tablespoons of whole milk powder and feel just like Cleopatra, who used milk baths to keep her skin clear. Of course, any time you bathe in any edible product, be sure to rinse down extra well once your soak is over.

2. Homemade Egg and Honey Facial Mask - Layer it on. A really great egg white masque can be made by whipping egg whites, a tablespoon of honey and a tad bit of flour or unsweetened cocoa together until they make a thick paste. Open up your pores first by putting a hot cloth on your face for 3 minutes. Smooth the mask over your face. Then wait for 10 minutes. Wash it off with lukewarm water and admire your fresh, youthful skin. This type of mask is great for anti aging, and might help you to avoid those costly wrinkles treatment down the line.

3. Homemade Skin Toner with Honey - Just make your own toner. Honey, buttermilk and rosewater mixed together can do wonders for your skin. If you have a Tupperware with a screw-on lid, it will work perfect. Then shake the mixture until blended well. You will end up with a mixture that is quite runny and cloudy in color. Then for tight, toned skin, apply it with a cotton ball.

Use the highest quality honey for these treatments. You can purchase a nice size jar of organic honey for less than 20 dollars. You will be able to use this honey for your beauty tips for months to come. Thank you to
